- The ST3831 safety device is engineered to activate a circuit upon detecting a high heat threshold, thereby powering a cooling system or fan. It deactivates the device when a lower temperature is sensed. Rated to 50 degrees Celsius, this phenolic-housed unit is designed for attachment to any metal surface requiring heat monitoring. Featuring normally open contacts, these thermostat switches engage at a specified temperature limit and automatically reset to their original state once the temperature falls below the rated level. Ideal for power amplifier applications and other temperature-sensitive devices, these units facilitate the integration of a cooling fan. Mounting holes are included, making them suitable for attachment to a heatsink or any metallic surface.
