- The LA5072 is designed to secure alarm circuits on doors or windows. This product is sold as a pair, consisting of one unit with a magnet and another with a reed switch. Featuring powerful magnets, these units offer both self-adhesive and screw mounting options, along with screw terminal connections. The reed switch contacts remain closed when the units are together, allowing current to flow, and open when separated. Each pair is normally closed (NC). The contact operation ensures a closed circuit when the magnet is adjacent to the switch, representing the "normal" state for alarm installations, indicating that the door or window is secure and the alarm is armed.
