(LS)SIMPLECOM CM461V2 HDMI ADAPTER COMPOSITE AV AND S-VIDEO TO HDMI CONVERTER FOR NINTENDO NGC N64 SNES SFC
Code: 8046092 Brand: SIMPLECOM
Your GameCube's been gathering dust because the flat-screen doesn't have an AV input. Or you want to fire up the N64 on the new TV and there's just no way to make it talk. This is the fix.
The Simplecom CM461V2 takes your console's Composite AV or S-Video signal and turns it into clean digital HDMI output – video and audio through one cable. No external power supply. No driver downloads. Plug it in, flip the aspect-ratio switch, done.
It auto-detects S-Video for a sharper picture when your console supports it. Most N64s, all SNES/SFC units, and NTSC GameCubes do. If your console doesn't have S-Video, it falls back to AV automatically. NTSC and PAL both work out of the box.
Toggle between 4:3 original format and 16:9 full-screen with a physical switch on the unit. Output hits 720p in widescreen or 1080p in 4:3.
One thing to know before you buy: this handles analog signals only (AV and S-Video). If you're running RGB, it's not the right adapter. A few smaller SNES/SFC models – SNS-101 and SHVC-101 – don't carry S-Video at all. Those will run on AV, which is still perfectly fine for a retro session.
