    Your 10GbE switch port is sitting there, but the other end of the fibre run is 8km away and your old copper link can't stretch that far. This ALLOY SFP+ module slots straight into any 10GbE SFP+ port and pushes a clean 10GBase-LR signal down single-mode fibre to 10km. No new switch, no re-cabling the whole rack. Pull it in, push it home, link lights up. Hot-swappable means you can swap it out mid-session without dropping the rest of your network. The all-metal housing keeps EMI out of the data path even when it's sitting next to a busy power supply. Fits the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR spec and SFF-8431 electrical standard, so it plays nice across a wide range of switches, media converters, and routers that take an SFP+ interface.
